Rio is a peppy ostrich villager in the Animal Crossing series. She is named after the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, known for its flamboyant carnivals, which she seems to reflect with her bright colored appearance.

Appearance

Rio is a hot red ostrich with orange stars on her cheeks, a little bit of brown hair on her head and a multicolored tail. She also wears purple eye shadow, making her resemble a snooty villager, even though she is instead a peppy villager.

Rio is a peppy villager which means she will appear excited and cheerful when talking to the player and other villagers. Much like other peppy villagers, she will aspire to become a model for the Ms. Nintendique magazine or a cheerleader, but will soon give up the aspiration due to a lack of attention span. She will get along with other peppy villagers, normal villagers, and jock villagers, but may be the plot for some false information or gossip by snooty and cranky villagers.
