Rodeo (ロデオ) is a lazy, bull villager who made his first appearance in Animal Crossing: Wild World. As a lazy villager, he will appear hospitable and friendly towards the player, making it easy to befriend him. He also has a fascination with food and super heroes. His name, Rodeo, comes from rodeo bulls, or bull-riding at rodeos, an event usually taking place in the U.S.A., where the rider aims to stay on the bull the longest while it is jumping and running. His initial phrase, "chaps," also relates to this. Chaps are an item of clothing, typically worn over jeans and made out of leather, which protect a rider from their trousers rubbing against their legs, otherwise causing irritation.

Appearance

Rodeo is a black bull with grey hair, dull, beige horns and small, red, evil-looking eyes. He has a lighter grey muzzle and a light grey/white tip to his tail. On rainy days, he carries a Blue Dot Parasol, much like Savannah.

Personality

As a lazy villager, he refers to food most of the time. He occasionally, like other lazy villagers, refers to himself as "Fashion Lad." This may have something to do with their fascination of superheroes. He is easy to get along with. He tends not to over-react like other personality traits, and tends to keep to his lazy or "laid-back" demeanor. He enjoys all the hobbies, such as fishing, bug catching, and fossil collecting, and is rarely discouraged from attending the Fishing Tourney or Bug Off competition. Lazy types rarely get angry. When they are upset, it is mostly sadness rather than anger. He will not get along with jock villagers because they are always exercising and eating healthily, while Rodeo is frequently relaxing, but he will get along with cranky villagers because they admire Rodeo's laid back lifestyle. He will not get along with snooty animals because they are concerned about his lifestyle.
