Rugs are a type of furniture introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Though the icon is the same as flooring in previous games, they have different functions; Flooring decorates the entirety of a room's floor, while rugs cover only a portion and sit above the flooring. Other types of furniture may be placed on top of rugs. Rugs can only be obtained by buying them from Saharah. When Saharah visits the island, she will sell a small, medium, and large rug for 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 Bells respectively.
