```Rugs`` are a type of furniture introduced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Though the icon is the same as carpet in previous games, they have different functions; carpets, now called flooring, decorate the entirety of a room's floor while rugs cover only a portion and sit above the flooring. Other types of furniture may be placed on top of rugs.
In New Horizons
Sometimes Saharah can be found roaming the island. She sells a small rug for 1000 Bells, a medium rug for 1500 Bells, and a large rug for 2000 Bells. Each day she visits the island she only carries one variety of each size of rug.
