Sandy (ラン, Run) is a normal, ostrich villager from the Animal Crossing series, making her debut in the original Animal Crossing. After being absent in all Animal Crossing media since Doubutsu no Mori e+, Sandy made a return in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, although she was planned to make a reappearance in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, but was cut for unknown reasons. Sandy also appears in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

Appearance

Sandy is an orange ostrich with blue eyelids. She most likely got her name from the rumor that ostriches bury their heads in sand when they are startled. Her sandy color also relates to this. Her initial shirt is the blue scale shirt. Sandy's shirt is bipolar to the one Rio wears. Her eyes highly resembles Sally's.

Personality

Sandy is a normal villager, which means she will appear friendly and hospitable towards the player. She will rarely get mad, even if the player fails any tasks they had assigned to them. However, she will lash out if the player pushes her too. Similar to all normal villagers, Sandy will act motherly to the player and most other villagers, including Peppy, jock, and other normal villagers. However, she may become offended by cranky villagers due to their belittling nature, as well as snooty villagers due to their tendency to spread rumors.

House

Sandy's house has a Space Theme, including items such as the Spaceman Sam, flying saucer, asteroid, and more. She also has 3 gyroids that play a very hollow space-like song.
