Saplings are newly planted trees. From the day that they were planted, it takes five days to fully grow. Saplings can be bought from Tom Nook's Store. Saplings cost 80 Bells. There are two kinds of saplings: an oak tree sapling and a cedar sapling. At the beginning of the game, one of the player's first tasks at Tom Nook's Store is planting oak tree saplings and cedar saplings around his shop.
