Kicks is a skunk.

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, the City was added, with a new store, Kick's Shoeshine, where the player can get their shoes shined. Kicks, the operator of the store, is the only skunk to appear in an Animal Crossing series game so far. Blaire and Natasha may look like skunks, but they're considered Squirrels.
