Swimming is a new feature in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. First shown in a trailer during E3, players have the ability to swim in the ocean. Players can also dive, the purpose being to find Seafood.

In order to swim, players will need to obtain a wet suit. Once the player is wearing a wetsuit, they should press A to enter the ocean. They can either walk into the ocean from the Beach or jump off of the Dock or a cliff.
