Tad is a jock frog villager from the Animal Crossing series. His name likely comes from the word "tadpole," the name given to a young frog. He was absent in other games after Doubutsu no Mori e+, but returns in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo update.

Characteristics

Appearance

Tad DnM.png

Tad is a dark green frog with white eyes and black pupils peering to the left. He has a cleft, smiling mouth. His initial clothing is the 1-Ball Shirt.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.

Tad has a jock personality, which means he will have a keen interest in sport and fitness, making him appear competitive and in some cases rude when talking to other villagers, usually criticizing their fitness. He will appear slow-witted and absent-minded when talking about deep, meaningful things. He will get along well with peppy villagers, but get confused by the choice of lifestyle followed by lazy villagers, who appear opposite to the jock personality. He may offend and upset snooty and cranky villagers.

House

Tad's house has a loosely aquatic theme, with a paddling pool, goldfish, and the entire froggy set. Tad also has various gyroids and two elephant slides. These slides, combined with the playroom wall, reinforce impressions that Tad is very young, hence the name. This implication, however, is not mentioned in-game.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, Tad's house and RV has an agricultural theme, containing a tractor, several barrels, and cornstalks.

Profile: You'll never meet a more graceful athlete than Tad. Maybe it's because he's a frog, but nobody can outjump him, that's for sure. Oddly enough, no one ever seems to recall seeing Tad working out...
