All villagers having a standard naming scheme (without any parentheses after them) makes it easier when creating templates (specifically linking an image of a villager to their page). This is less important now given that information can be pulled from a cargo store, but I still think it's something to think about. Apples do have their own pages at Item:Apple (Animal Crossing) and Item:Apple (New Horizons), but I don't know that they are more notable than the villager page. Just posting here to confirm that after checking internal stats, Apple (villager) is in the top 200 most-visited pages this year. The item pages are not in the top 500. (talk) 12:20, November 30, 2021 (EST)
