In Wild World, why did so many bugs and fish get removed. Removed bugs include the [[Drone Beetle]], [[Pine Cricket]], [[Purple Butterfly]], [[Mountain Beetle]], [[Common Dragonfly]], [[Crab]], [[Coconut Crab]], [[Hermit Crab]], and [[Spotted Ladybug]]. Why did they all get removed in Wild World? They should've stayed in my opinion, it would be kinda cool to have crabs in City Folk. Why did they get removed in Wild World? == Spawn Rates ==

Thanks to the information provided here: https://wuffs.org/acnh/insects120.html, we can include the actual spawn rates of all the Bugs (or "Net Catchables") in New Horizons. But I don't want to just add that info in to either this page or the individual pages (as I'm sure someone would hate however I did it and simply remove the information rather than clean it up). :My apologies for the slow response. I agree that these spawn rates help give a sense of the relative rarity of each bug, but without seeing the entire table it's hard to understand what is meant by an individual value, especially when some of these values exceed 100, implying they are not a % spawn chance. Perhaps we could develop a qualitative scale (very rare, rare, uncommon... etc.) and the spawn rate is given in addition to this qualitative descriptor, for example: Spawn rate: 5 (very rare). I'd be interested to hear other opinions on this though. ::I think it might actually be %, because the only exceeding 100 are the crafting materials and the petals were everywhere and are more of a special case. I agree with including the worded rarity as well because that's how the game tells us the numbers. It would make sense to put it in the already existing rarity field in the infobox and critter info template and the game's table. Name standardization

I'm sure everyone is tired of me bringing up things like this... but the wiki is pretty inconsistent with how it refers to bugs/insects. We have the page "Bug" and then the lists of bugs are on Bugs/... (note the plural). "Bugs" redirects to "Bug". And then we have Category:Insect instead of Category:Bug (or Bugs). I vote we stick to one or the other. So we either need to change the category name, or the article name to match the other. Thoughts on this? Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 15:23, July 3, 2016 (EDT)

Funny, I thought it all looked wrong too! I vote to move the article. "Bug" just doesn't sound right. Red (talk) Red Snapper WW Sprite.png 14:16, July 6, 2016 (EDT)
There's still the issue of Category:Insect. Should we rename the category to Bugs? Or change the article name to "Insects"? Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 14:26, July 6, 2016 (EDT)

My apologies for the slow response. I agree that these spawn rates help give a sense of the relative rarity of each bug, but without seeing the entire table it's hard to understand what is meant by an individual value, especially when some of these values exceed 100, implying they are not a % spawn chance. I think it might actually be %, because the only exceeding 100 are the crafting materials and the petals were everywhere and are more of a special case.
