Talk:Cherry Blossom Festival

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

New Leaf[edit]

Can anyone please add more information regarding the New Leaf? And also confirm the event, if it is in New Leaf. I heard the petals fall from the sky, so please confirm it, if you play it and add images (high quality if possible). Wolfgang 14:36, 30 July 2013 (EDT)

From what I've read, it seems that New Leaf does this similar to City Folk; there isn't an actual festival, but the regular trees' leaves turn pink between April 1st and 10th. Looks like petals do blow around (see this commercial), but I'm not sure how often. One page I read said it only happens occasionally, and another said that it happens continuously during the ten days. -Sky (talk) 19:04, 30 July 2013 (EDT)

Splitting[edit]

I suggest to split into this page and Cherry Blossoms, because after original Animal Crossing there's no festival but cherry blossoms are falling. vmario97 (talk) 05:13, March 9, 2020 (EDT)

I see your point. but I'm still going to Oppose Oppose, because I don't think the pink trees and falling petals are notable enough to have their own article. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 12:12, March 9, 2020 (EDT)
Support Support, as per "there is no festival". Cherry Blossoms can be characterized as a weather phenomenon similar to the Aurora borealis. Lucky Clovers NL Icon.pngDecomposer 09:59, September 8, 2020 (EDT)
Support Support I agree with Drago that it's not notable enough to split these into two pages, but I agree with vmario97 that the information doesn't belong on an event page that isn't relevant to the newer titles in the series. I would suggest moving to Spring#Weather or to a new section on Tree titled 'Seasonal changes'. Some information might also be moved (or copied to) the eventual Item:Cherry-Blossom Petal page.
