In ACGC, the bulletin board entry advertising the August Meteor Shower refers to it as the 'lake'. ACGC Nintendo Power guide calls it a 'Main pond', in the Fish catalog simply 'Pond', and 'Lake' in the description for the Harvest Moon event. ACWW Nintendo Power guide calls it the 'Main Pond', in the Fish catalog simply 'Pond'. ACCF Prima guide calls it a 'Big pond', in the Fish catalog simply 'Pond'. ACNL Prima guide calls it a 'Pond', in the Fish catalog 'Lake'. I personally prefer 'Lake', but a certain other site refers to it as 'Pond' and that is the term most often used in guides.
