Questionable name[edit]

After some inspection in the New Leaf strings, I had come to the conclusion that were barely any references to this place being named "Museum Shop". However, I only managed to find "two" names for this location:

  • "museum gift shop" (by Blathers)
  • "museum's ... gift-shop floor" (by Celeste)

But that's pretty much all I was able to find. I don't exactly know why this was called "Museum Shop", unless it was in a guidebook. I want to know before we decide whether or not to move this page or label it conjectural. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 23:14, December 1, 2022 (EST)

Comment Comment The "Shops and Such" section of the Prima Games NL guidebook calls it "Museum 2F," although the table of items below it is labeled "Museum Gift Shop Goods." In the list of items near the back of the book, items that can be obtained there are listed as "Obtainable from: Museum Shop (after 2F upgrade)." It might not be notable to keep the guidebook names, because, along with Prima Games having a history of various errors, it names DJ KK as "DJ K.K." and "D.J. K.K.," tours as "island tours," the Garden Shop as "Gardening Store" (lowercase in the text, most of the headers are capitalized), the Souvenir Shop as the "Island Gift Shop." So it's a Prima Games thing I suppose. I guess I can't judge it if that's the case, but there's still this strange feeling that the Museum Shop doesn't sound like a good name to describe this location.
Considering that we generally source our content to the games first, then guides second, I believe it's within the best interest to move this to museum gift shop, given that it's somewhat implied it's the name by Blathers and Celeste. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 23:35, December 1, 2022 (EST)
Comment Comment It is called "Museum Shop" by the sign outside the entrance (see here). ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 00:19, December 2, 2022 (EST)
Ahhh I see. Yeah I missed where that string was and couldn't find it.
