Plural

To quote Wikipedia: The plural form octopi is often defined as a hypercorrection. The Oxford English Dictionary (2008 Draft Revision)lists octopuses, octopi and octopodes (in that order); it labels octopodes "rare", although the correct Greek plural form, and notes that octopi derives from the "apprehension" that octōpūs is a second declension Latin noun, though it is not. It is a Latinization of Greek third-declension masculine oktṓpous (ὀκτώπους, 'eight-foot'), plural oktṓpodes (ὀκτώποδες). -Vulpes 19:50, 27 November 2010 (EST)

Define 'hypercorrection'. Dragonfree 19:51, 27 November 2010 (EST)
It basically means making the word wrong by trying to make it right.-Vulpes 19:53, 27 November 2010 (EST)
Ah, I see. Well, if the dictionary lists it, it's not exactly wrong, right? (+1 for wrong, right XD, total score 64,234) I'll host a poll on the forums. Dragonfree 19:54, 27 November 2010 (EST)

Shall we add Takoya right away?

Or is it better to wait for Animal Crossing: New Leaf to be localized?--Gooptek 16:39, 11 February 2013 (EST)

I think we can go ahead and add NL characters - once localized, any name changes can be fixed, along with the articles themselves. ~SuperHamster Talk 23:50, 11 February 2013 (EST)
