Name sort[edit]

Should the hyphen in T-Bone's name be ignored when sorting his name in lists? For example, T-Bone is currently sorted before Tabby because it compares the 2nd character in both names (the hyphen is sorted before the letter "a"). This can be seen on pages such as list of villager houses in New Horizons. But if the hyphen were to be ignored, he would actually be sorted after Tabby. It seems that it's more appropriate to ignore hyphens when it comes to alphabetizing names, at least based on a cursory online search.
Current system: Sylvia → T-Bone → Tabby
If name sort is implemented for T-Bone: Sylvia → Tabby → Tad → Tammi → Tammy → Tangy → Tank → Tarou → Tasha → T-Bone → Teddy

Oppose Yeah, that could be considered, but a lot of wikis use this way of sorting so I don't think it's necessary. DuckyBlox (talk) 14:12, September 28, 2022 (EDT)- Oppose After reviewing the catalog order for Posters, T-Bone's Poster is shown to be present before Tabby's. I don't know what other regions of New Horizons sort villagers, but this catalog poster order arrangement seems to be most definite evidence against this proposal. -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 20:23, October 3, 2022 (EDT)
Comment That's a great point, it didn't occur to me that there was a natural in-game alphabetical sort order for villagers. We should follow that then. HylianAngel (talk) 20:32, October 3, 2022 (EDT)
