Splitting Table[edit]

What would you all think of splitting the table for normal villagers into alphabetical sections? Currently thinking one for each letter or varying divisions that include as many letters as needed to make the tables average roughly to a certain length. -Sky (talk) 21:03, August 1, 2014 (EDT)

I would do a section for each letter, no matter the number of villagers in each division. ~~SuperAlpaca (talk) 21:07, August 1, 2014 (EDT)
I would focus on making multiple tables that sit next to each other (take up more horizontal space) rather than splitting the table to create more vertical space. I do agree that the villagers should be split up keeping in mind the first letter of their first name and ensuring that the table doesn't get split halfway through the 'S' section, for example. --sunmarsh (talk) 21:17, August 1, 2014 (EDT)
Although I agree that taking up less vertical space would be preferable, I think that the most convenient setups of this page won't support that. Splitting the tables vertically only allows each letter to get its own heading, so one can use the table of contents to get to a section (my secondary motive after splitting the big table). Perhaps, where there are enough rows to allow for it, a letter's table could be put in two columns? -Sky (talk) 21:35, August 1, 2014 (EDT)
Ah, I didn't think about the TOC, that is a good idea. If you're willing to divvy up the table I'm all for whatever strategy you deem best. --sunmarsh (talk) 03:14, August 2, 2014 (EDT)
New idea for review: I was thinking of changing the look of the tables (specifically, adding some color and styling them like the furniture lists). I made up two possibilities for doing so here, although continuing to use the plain wikitable is always an option. -Sky (talk) 16:46, August 2, 2014 (EDT)
I think I like the table with the divisions better. Maybe you can add a background color to the name column similar to the bug lists? I think that would help make the separation a bit clearer. --sunmarsh (talk) 17:07, August 2, 2014 (EDT)
I like that idea, but I also want to avoid the amount of style code that's in the bug lists (it's there for every cell). There are a few ways of styling certain columns or certain cells in a row that I haven't used them before, so I'll look into them. -Sky (talk) 18:27, August 2, 2014 (EDT)

Missing Villagers[edit]

I scanned this list and it turns out some villagers are not included. I suggest we find out whitch villagers they are, what they like in their coffee and then put them in. Kit 15:00, October 28, 2014 (EDT)

Which villagers do you mean? Some villagers only exist in the older Animal Crossing games, so they don't even take coffee. Some villagers have different US names than PAL names, so their PAL counterparts aren't included. Pokéball.pngNO VIOLINS 10:05, November 8, 2014 (EST)

Well, Lucy wasn't missing, but her one is wrong, and I forget what villager it was, but it wasn't here. I can find out later which villager it was. All I know is that this page needs editing. :p Kit 07:23, November 9, 2014 (EST)

Please indent your posts. Also, Lucy's is not wrong, as I have used this combination before. An example of someone adding a villager wasn't actually missing can be found here. Pokéball.pngNO VIOLINS 12:32, November 16, 2014 (EST)
