- New Horizons - The 2.0 Free Update has released 24 hours ahead of its scheduled release date.

- New Horizons - In the New Horizons Direct, Nintendo has announced a new, final update, featuring the return of The Roost, Kapp'n, gyroids and more. A paid expansion for the game, Happy Home Paradise, has also been revealed. Both will be available from November 5.

- New Horizons - Nintendo has announced that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct will be broadcast on October 15 at 10 AM EST and will run for approximately 20 minutes.
