This section of the Main Page details the most recent news relating to the Animal Crossing series or Nookipedia. It also shows if there is an active Nookipedia Proposal.

Usage

• No more than five pieces of news should be listed. When a new piece is added, the oldest should be removed.
• Any news posted here should also be added to the news archive. If any changes are made to a piece of news after its posting, the news archive should also be updated to match.
• Nintendo/Animal Crossing news should be written in a neutral, formal style just like our articles. Nookipedia/NIWA news can be written in a more casual tone.
• News should be written in present perfect tense (e.g. "Nintendo has announced..."), should be no more than two sentences, and should have a link to the source of the information (e.g. news article, YouTube video, etc.)
• Headlines should be written in sentence case just like article titles.
• News should not be posted for expected events, such as the release of a game that was previously announced and has had its release date revealed.

Concert performance featuring DJ KK announced

Nintendo has announced, as part of their Nintendo Live 2022 event held at the Tokyo Big Sight live from on October 8th and 9th, the DJ K.K PARADISE MIX!! concert, with music from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There will be 3 performances during the event, with the third performance broadcasting live on YouTube.

New soundtracks

Nintendo has announced a second soundtrack CD collection for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as a collection of K.K. Slider songs on vinyl record, releasing in Japan on June 22 and November 23, respectively.

Nintendo has added a new Missions and Rewards section to the Nintendo Switch Online application, which allows users to purchase user icons based on Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario Odyssey.
