Deletion?[edit]

I understand why this template was made- to alert other users that major edits are being made to a page, and so they should avoid making edits to the page at this time. However, the activity on the wiki is such that this template isn't really needed. It just ends up being added to pages and then never removed. The template states it should be removed if there has been no activity in several days. With that standard there shouldn't be any instances of this template left on the wiki. I suppose it's one of those situational templates. It gets a lot of use when a new game is released and there's tons of new info to add to the wiki. But outside of that it isn't needed. If it's not wanted anymore, could we perhaps repurpose it as a sitenotice for when a new release is out? --Dorsal Axe (talk) 04:42, November 6, 2019 (EST)
I support deletion for the reasons sunmarsh stated, and I'd also like to point out that Template:In use is pretty much a duplicate of this one. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 05:40, November 6, 2019 (EST)
I think that merging this with Template:In use and keeping this page (but removing any active template calls from the wiki) would serve us best. I agree that it would be helpful to have during the time of a game release. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 10:11, November 6, 2019 (EST)
