Japanese villager information[edit]

So I've noticed that the individual pages for the shirts and furniture items in the OG Animal Crossing don't acknowledge any of their uses by villagers in Japanese versions. To give off an example: none of the islanders that are exclusive to e+ are listed on the pages of either of their respective Aloha Shirt's pages despite having those shirts listed on their PG Villager Infoboxes.

On a related note, in regards to villagers who've worn different default shirts depending on the version, their infoboxes only list their default shirt from the Western localizations (For example, Cesar's infobox only lists the Two-Ball Shirt, his shirt in the Western versions of PG, when he has also worn the A Shirt in the Japanese versions).

Any reason for all of this? Snapping Turtle NH Icon.pngTurtleCrossing of the Turtle TribeTortimer PC Character Icon.png 01:29, March 17, 2021 (EDT)

I've updated the template to allow for DnM/DnM+-exclusive clothing. You can add them with clothes-dnm and clothes-plus. As for the item pages, the template that displays it only checks for villagers that are in PG, but unfortunately I don't know enough about Cargo to update it to also look for e+. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 14:35, March 23, 2021 (EDT)
Okay, so I decided to test this out with Cesar, but there's a problem. While separate sections for the Japanese games do indeed appear, they seem to demand item pages/image files for the A Shirt from those games specifically, yet neither of those exist (to explain further, the infobox is looking for "Item:A Shirt (Doubutsu no Mori)" and File:A_Shirt_DnM_Model.png. The same also applies to Doubutsu no Mori+). As a result, the link to the A Shirt is red-linked and the image for the A Shirt is instead displaying as red-linked text that reads "32px".
Considering that all four versions of the original game are supposed to be covered within the same item page and file name, this is an issue that needs to be looked into. If this can't be fixed somehow, then perhaps we can create redirects? Snapping Turtle NH Icon.pngTurtleCrossing of the Turtle TribeTortimer PC Character Icon.png 23:34, March 23, 2021 (EDT)

Edit may need to be eventually reverted[edit]

This display edit done purely to visually "combine" clothing only works if clothing conditions for Cesar, Cousteau, Cube, Grizzly, Paolo, Punchy, Rasher, and Tabby do not change. Please immediately revert this edit if any changes are made to any character's clothing data (mainly if there are any new discoveries). The edit should also be reverted if the template is altered to either visually distinguish DnMe+ clothing as a unique entry or internally cargo all DnMe+ clothing into the template. I just thought it would be nice in the meantime if the clothing was combined so it looks nice from a user perspective, but please revert the edit as needed.
