Franklin is a turkey - as the villagers are well aware of during the Harvest Festival!
The Turkey is a species of animal in the Animal Crossing series, specifically for the character Franklin. Franklin is the only Turkey in the Animal Crossing series. Although in Animal Crossing: Wild World, due to certain religious beliefs, Franklin was not brought back with the Harvest Festival. But in Animal Crossing City Folk, Franklin and the Harvest Festival were back.
