Welcome![edit]

Welcome to Nookipedia, Doodley!
Nookipedia.png

We're glad that you've chosen to create an account! You are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Animal Crossing encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some things to keep in mind when editing pages:

  • Read our wiki's editing, general use, and privacy policies.
  • Create your user page! Your user page is your own personal space to put anything you want.
  • Make effective edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't 'edit war', or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links and tutorials, please see the help pages.

If you're looking for some place to start, why not check out the Community Fountain? Here you will find current events and things to do.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask a wiki staff member, or at the Community Fountain talk page. We're always happy to help! Have a great time! -- Nookipedia Staff

If you edit my user page (not talking about this talk page), you have to have my consent first, -Doodley (talk) 18:57, November 27, 2019 (EST)

Please use the 'Show Preview' button[edit]

Hello Doodley, I see you've been having fun editing your user page. Please try to use the Show Preview button before making changes. Because you are a new member we have to review every single edit you make, so we now how to press a little button on each one of your 100+ edits to verify them. Additionally, if you make minor changes to a page you should check the 'This is a minor edit' button. Some wikis place a limit on how many times you are allowed to edit your user page in one day (usually less than 5 or 10). If you continue to make this many edits to your page we will put such a rule in place. Thanks for understanding.

Sorry, i'll try not to mess things up -Doodley (talk) 13:42, November 29, 2019 (EST)

P.S. This is your talk page, which is meant for direct conversation between you and other Nookipedia members and therefore open to (respectful) editing by anyone. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 21:21, November 27, 2019 (EST)

Creation of Talk:Bean Throwing Festival[edit]

Resetti HHD.png This is an official warning from a Nookipedia staff member.

Further violations of Nookipedia policy may result in you being blocked from editing.

Article talk pages are meant for productive discussion, not for inserting random messages. This is considered spam and can and will result in removal of your editing privileges. This is your first and final warning. If you want to play around/make test edits please use the Nookipedia:Sandbox, and be sure to use the Show preview button before making your final edit. Additionally, I saw that you made an edit to a user page which you later reverted. Please do not make edits to user pages (this is a violation of Nookipedia policy), even if you revert them later. You can copy/paste text or code you're curious about and test it in the sandbox if you need. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 21:41, November 27, 2019 (EST)

Sorry, i accidentally clicked the wrong button -Doodley (talk) 13:48, November 29, 2019 (EST)

Follow up[edit]

Hey there, Doodley. I've noticed that you've been making edits to talk pages to start up discussion about making changes to articles. I appreciate your willingness to contribute and that you're looking to get consensus from fellow editors before making changes. That said, I don't want you to feel intimidated or worried about making edits to article pages. The warning above is in reference to editing user pages other than your own, so if you steer clear of those you should have no problems. Talk pages are usually used to discuss major changes or overhauls to a page rather than small edits. You are more than welcome to use them to discuss any changes to an article, large or small though. I just wanted to encourage you to not worry so much about making mistakes when editing article pages. We can easily edit or revert any changes and give you feedback if needed. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 15:15, December 10, 2019 (EST) yeah im scared im gonna get banned because my social life is already not in a desired state and i get really nervous sometimes because i just dont know have to fix my social life, and the only thing i can compare it to is untying a really bad knot - Doodley (talk) 19:02, December 10, 2019 (EST)

I'm sorry to hear that things off-wiki aren't going well. However, I don't think you need worry too much about getting banned. It might feel like we're all out to 'get' you, but we're really not. The only way you'd get banned is if you spammed talk pages or edited other users' pages without good reason again, as you were warned about above. But if you make mistakes when editing articles and they need to be undone, that's not the sort of thing you'd get blocked for, certainly without being told first that a block is imminent. I'm certainly not considering blocking or banning you any time soon, so it's all fine with me. :) Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 10:36, December 11, 2019 (EST)

i'm just scared i'm going to do something wrong and i'll get banned, i've already been banned from 1 wiki (off-NIWA) so far -Doodley (talk) 16:38, December 11, 2019 (EST)

You don't have to worry as long as you follow our advice very carefully. We won't ban you on a whim, we'll give you heads-up if you do wrong, however. Mario Signature.png 17:03, December 11, 2019 (EST)

is apollo nice in ACNL[edit]

will he stay really mean or will he soften up after some time -Doodley (talk) 19:09, December 10, 2019 (EST)

Cranky villagers in general tend to be a lot more chill and down-to-the-earth kind of characters compared to their earlier iterations. Avery's in my village, and he's one of the best villagers to me. Mario Signature.png 20:47, December 10, 2019 (EST)

Oh, so i don't have to torture him? Good. - Doodley (talk) 16:35, December 11, 2019 (EST)
