Birthday Schedule

I put together the templates for the October birthdays, but I can't edit pages in the scehdule namespace. Is there somewhere I could put those (sandbox or user subpage, maybe?) for someone else to make pages out of? -Sky (talk) 14:15, 2 October 2011 (EDT)

Honored Member...until 1969

Hey Jake. I recently got honored member status, but there's a little problem...the notice that appeared at the top of the page once I became an honored member read "You are an honored member. As a reward for helping Nookipedia grow and prosper, we are pleased to offer you an ad-free experience until December 31, 1969. Keep up the good work! Click here to dismiss this notice." Special:HonoredMembers still says that honored member status will last until November 21, 2011 for me though, so it's just an issue with the notice by the looks of it. ~SuperHamster Talk 13:33, 22 October 2011 (EDT)

That's pretty odd, and I just tested this and it's not happening to me. I know all dates in Unix are made relative to 12/31/1969, but there's no reason for the site to display that to you instead of the real date. I just got the weird date in the Honored Member notice, and I recall getting it the first time, too. It only happened the first time the notice appeared; when I went to another page the date corrected itself. -Sky (talk) 20:20, 9 November 2011 (EST)

Interesting. My best guess would be that the server is trying to cache the notice without realizing that the date is dynamic. I'll look into possible fixes, but it's not a very big issue. Thanks for your report! --Jake 20:37, 9 November 2011 (EST)

No problem! Welcome to Nookipedia! To put an image into the villager info box, you just add this argument:

image=[[File:Image_name.png]]

I think he's talking about the favorite villager userbox on his page, and the Pierce fan userbox on your page. I added a field to the template to allow users to add an image of their favorite villager, so he should be able to put an image in now. -Sky (talk) 15:54, 2 November 2011 (EDT)

Well, I've managed to defeat the Beaten Drum and the Gently Sweeping Guitar with a few PSI LOVE α, but the Jealous Bass keeps rockin' me with his Music Jam attack and his insane offense boost! I've read that I have to use Pencil Rockets with Boney, but they're very pricy, and they're sold at a shop wich lies at the entrance to the attic, a hard-to-reach place once you've explored it deep!--Gooptek 21:20, 11 November 2011 (EST)

Hello! Sorry for taking too long to post the result. He defeated me so fast, I could barely use a Sprinting Bomb... Well, I think that's because I'm level 12 with both Lucas and Boney, so that means that I only need to get to level 19 or so to defeat it. But it's so hard even to level up there at the attic, with all of the strong enemies... Also, what is that (EST) that you place at the end of every "comment"¿ (Oh, and thanks for the video! No problem! And yeah, it always helps to spend some time grinding some levels. I always like to be at a slightly higher level than normal for boss fights. I'm no time traveller!!!

I signed in to the Wiki yesterday to find that it said Jingle was delivering presents!!! It is supposed to be today, not YESTERDAY!!! Otherwise, I would have missed out! Yes, on the 23rd, it said "Hey, everybody! Jingle comes to town tonight!" and on the 24th it said, "Happy Holidays, Everyone!" P.S. I'm not sure if this helps or not, but when I was bored, I started to look around at in-game events, and the table under the picture for Toy day said that it occurs on the 23rd. ????? Just in case it helps, I edited it to say "December 23rd (24th in City Folk)" Spongeabc5 17:15, 27 December 2011 (EST)

Actually, I just looked it up and Toy Day does occur on the 23rd in every game except City Folk. So I guess that's why the notice is displayed on both days. I've edited the notice for the 23rd to make it more apparent that it's only for AC:GC. :) --Jake 10:21, 28 December 2011 (EST)

Chat?

Should there be some sort of chat on the wiki? And maybe even a bulletin system? I mean, so people can exchange friend codes and make bulletins of where things are buried in their town, maybe? Just an idea.
