John, please be advised that you must add the <code><nowiki>{{personal_upload}}</nowiki></code> licensing tag to any upload you submit that will not be used in an encyclopedic article. All of your [[Special:ListFiles/John|current uploads]] fall under this category and should be updated to include this tag. Additionally, several of your images are unused and will be deleted if they are not incorporated into your personal page within a reasonable time frame. I would suggest reviewing the [[Nookipedia:Upload_policy|upload policy]] before uploading any further images to ensure you are following site policy. Thanks! --[[User:Jake|<span style="color:#008000;font-weight:bold;">Ja</span>]][[User_talk:Jake|<span style="color:#E58900;font-weight:bold;">ke</span>]] 21:12, March 2, 2015 (EST)

All images that you upload to our site must have a license associated with it, and must be used somewhere on the site. The files you have uploaded are all for personal use, so you need to go to each of them and edit the page to add the <code><nowiki>{{personal_upload}}</nowiki></code> tag (just copy and paste it in) and add them somewhere on your user page. Additionally, the policy I linked to above specifies that you may only have five personal uploads and you already have eight, so please do not upload any additional personal files or they may be deleted. --[[User:Jake|<span style="color:#008000;font-weight:bold;">Ja</span>]][[User_talk:Jake|<span style="color:#E58900;font-weight:bold;">ke</span>]] 22:13, March 5, 2015 (EST)

We're glad you've taken the step to create an account and edit our wiki! With an account you'll now be able to easily edit pages, participate in discussions, watch pages, track your edits, and have access to additional editing tools. You can also create and edit your own user page.

If you intend to continue editing, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Read our wiki's general use and editing, and privacy policies.
  • Preview your changes before saving them to avoid the need for making corrections afterwards.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes instead of undoing or reinstating changes repeatedly without discussion.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This code will automatically leave your name and a timestamp.

You can find editing tutorials and further information about our policies on the help pages.

Where to start? Check out the The Roost for the latest discussions, or consult the to-do list on the Main Page to see tasks that need to be worked on.
Questions? Feel free to ask a member of staff directly, post your question on the The Roost talk page, or ask about it on our Discord icon Discord server. We're always happy to help!
Thank you for your contributions, and have a great time! -- Nookipedia Staff

Hello, welcome to Nookipedia! However, all your edits so far have been unconstructive, and continuing in this manner may lead to an Administrator placing a temporary block on your account. Please read our policy page to learn what is and isn't allowed. Thanks, Red Snapper 13:20, July 26, 2014 (EDT)

Your recent edits

The next time you create needlessly short, unconstructive pages or remove content placed on this talk page, I am afraid you may be reported to someone higher than me and face a far longer block than the 2-week one imposed a short while ago. Take care, Red Snapper 13:36, October 8, 2014 (EDT)

Re:Administrator

Becoming an admin (or other staff member) is not an easy task, and users should not put becoming an admin above helping the wiki on their list of priorities, but if you are interested, the general guidelines are here. Basically, edit constructively for a few months, become a trustworthy user, and then place your application on Nookipedia:Staff/Apply, following the instructions on the page. Other staff members then vote 'Support', 'Oppose' or whatever, and after a week, a bureaucrat or director will close the discussion and if the application was successful, promote you. Re:A question from me

Yes, any user can upload personal images like the ones you have just uploaded for use on your user page. Ideally, it's wise to seek permission from a bureaucrat to possess more than five personal images at once, however. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 12:08, February 20, 2015 (EST)

Just a heads-up; if you place personal images in any article about the Animal Crossing series they will be removed. Thank you for your co-operation. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 13:11, February 21, 2015 (EST)

RE:My page is mine

Because placing the template on your user page could confuse others into thinking your user page is a 'proposed or future policy', even though it's clearly not. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 12:58, February 25, 2015 (EST)

The main page

Yes, this is fine, as long as you don't start spamming it around the entire wiki. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 14:10, March 1, 2015 (EST)

Personal Images

John, please be advised that you must add the {{personal_upload}} licensing tag to any upload you submit that will not be used in an encyclopedic article. All of your current uploads fall under this category and should be updated to include this tag. Additionally, several of your images are unused and will be deleted if they are not incorporated into your personal page within a reasonable time frame. I would suggest reviewing the upload policy before uploading any further images to ensure you are following site policy. Thanks! --Jake 21:12, March 2, 2015 (EST)

All images that you upload to our site must have a license associated with it, and must be used somewhere on the site. The files you have uploaded are all for personal use, so you need to go to each of them and edit the page to add the {{personal_upload}} tag (just copy and paste it in) and add them somewhere on your user page.
