Completing the Velociraptor in City Folk
"...Hoo my goodness! The velociraptor is assembled! Simply magnificent! Velociraptors first began to appear in the last days of the dinosaurs. Their bodies were small, but they could run fast and were smart enough to use teamwork... In some respects, they were the best hunters in the dinosaur world!"

Velociraptor was a small theropod dinosaur that lived in modern-day Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous, 75 to 71 million years ago. While they were popularized by the Jurassic Park series, the dinosaurs in the film were actually based off the much larger Deinonychus. In real life, Velociraptor was about the size of a turkey, weighing 15 kg and reaching a length of about 2 meters (half of which is its tail) and a height of 0.5m at the hip. Recent studies suggest that it hunted like modern birds of prey: it would pin down its prey with its sickle claws, possibly flapping its wings to keep stable, then eating the captured animal alive.
