W. Link is a smug wolf villager in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo. He is based on Wolf Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. W. Link can be brought into the player's campground and invited to move in by scanning the amiibo of Link, Zelda, Wolf Link, or Archer Link. His birthday is the same day The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess first released in Japan.

Appearance

W. Link is a moss green wolf with white feet and paws. His forehead is marked with ornate white symbols, and the inner portion of his mane is highlighted in tan with blue eyes. He wears a bracelet that resembles a chain on his left paw. W. Link is designed to resemble the appearance of The Legend of Zelda protagonist Link's wolf form as depicted in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo, W. Link's skill of "howling" refers to the howling mechanic that Link utilizes while in wolf form in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, in order to activate the Howling Stones and in order to use both Hawk Grass and Horse Grass. His goal of "normal boy" refers to one of Link's initial goals in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which is to return to human form after being transformed into a wolf due to the Twilight engulfing Hyrule.
