The Windmill is a location that appears in Animal Crossing: City Folk. When 1,000,000 Bells is donated into the Town Fund after a fountain has been built, a Lighthouse or a Windmill will appear in the player's town the next day. The player's town will vote on whether there will be a Windmill or Lighthouse in the town. The windmill increases town beauty, while the Lighthouse increases sighting of rare fish. Only the human characters can vote by talking to Pelly and selecting Town Fund. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf the Windmill returns as a public works project.
