Wishy the Star is a shooting star who appears in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In Wild World, on a night without rain or snow, Wishy may appear briefly in the sky, making a twinkling sound. In New Leaf, many Wishy appear during a Meteor Shower, although only one will grant the player's wish.

When Wishy appears on the screen, the player, if holding no equipment, can press the A button, and if they are quick enough, they will make a wishing pose while the star sparkles. When successful, the player will receive a letter the next day with a random spotlight item attached.

Although there are also Meteor Showers with shooting stars in City Folk and New Horizons, wishes in these games will not cause the player to receive a letter in the mail, and Wishy is not mentioned by name otherwise.
