It can be scanned in Animal Crossing at the e-Reader Transfer Machine in the post office to receive a letter and gift from Franklin, or on the Game Boy Advance by itself to display a different letter. The password on the card can also be sent in a letter to receive a letter and gift.

Scanning in Animal Crossing

Scanning this card at the e-Reader Transfer Machine in the post office causes Franklin to immediately send the player a letter that contains a harvest sofa. The letter reads:

Dear <player>,

I've been working hard this
year. I've saved up quite a
bit of money. I think I'll go
on a trip this year. In
November. To a place where
there are no festivals

Mailing the password

Typing the password printed on the card into a letter and mailing it to any villager causes Franklin to send the player a letter that contains a harvest TV after two more days of playing. The letter reads:

Are you alone, <player>?

Have you heard if your
town is holding another
Harvest Festival this year?
I hope not. That festival is
so last year. You
know what to do if they do!

Scanning on the Game Boy Advance

Scanning this card while the Game Boy Advance is not connected to Animal Crossing displays the following message from Franklin:
