He doesn't like to admit it, but Quetzal is really into interior design. He claims he just likes moving his furniture around because it helps him keep in shape, but that's just a cover story.

170 Quetzal is a Series 3 Animal Crossing-e Character Card. It can be scanned in Animal Crossing at the e-Reader Transfer Machine in the post office to receive a letter and gift from Quetzal, or on the Game Boy Advance by itself to display a different letter. The password on the card can also be sent in a letter to receive a letter and gift.

Scanning in Animal Crossing[edit]

Scanning this card at the e-Reader Transfer Machine in the post office causes Quetzal to immediately send the player a letter that contains a cabin chair. The letter reads:

How's life, <player>?
The weather been all right
recently? Nothing gets me
down more than a long string
of bad weather. All I feel
like doing is sitting indoors
and playing Nintendo games.

NES Master Quetzal

Mailing the password[edit]

Typing the password printed on the card into a letter and mailing it to any villager causes Quetzal to send the player a letter that contains an eagle pole after two more days of playing. The letter reads:

My best bud, <player>,
How are you doing? I am at
my peak! The peak of
perfection! And thanks to
my regular workouts, my
left wingtip is
completely cramped up!

From Quetzal

If the player mails the password to Quetzal specifically, there is a 60% chance they will instead send them a different letter with one of eight NES games: Balloon Fight, Clu Clu Land, DK Jr MATH, Donkey Kong, Excitebike, Golf, Pinball, or Tennis.

Scanning on the Game Boy Advance[edit]

Scanning this card while the Game Boy Advance is not connected to Animal Crossing displays the following message from Quetzal:

Take my advice: you
don't need fancy
exercise equipment
to stay all buff!
Just work out in
your home by always
redecorating. It's
simple AND fun!
Move bureaus around,
carry your bed up
the stairs, or just
tote Gyroids around!
