The Nintendo Entertainment System (often abbreviated as NES) is a video game console by Nintendo. It was first released on October 18, 1985 in New York City test markets and was their second video game home console. It is the Western counterpart of the Family Computer (often abbreviated as Famicom) which was first released on July 15, 1983 in Japan.
In the Animal Crossing series, the Nintendo Entertainment System or Family Computer may refer to:
- The NES furniture item in the first-generation Animal Crossing games
- NES games that can be obtained in the first-generation Animal Crossing games
- The Famicom, NES, and Famicom Disk System Nintendo console furniture items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
