The dream fishing rod is a tool item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 3.0 Free Update.

It is a Slumber Island version of the regular fishing rod, and functions similarly except with unlimited durability. The dream fishing rod can catch fish, but will not appear in the player's inventory. Furthermore, the player can only use the dream fishing rod within Slumber Islands; the player cannot bring this item outside of Slumber Islands and will disappear if brought over from a hacked island.
