A dream gold nugget is an item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 3.0 Free Update. Its only purpose is to allow the player to bury it and create a normal dig spot on Slumber Islands, since no other items besides pitfall seeds can be obtained.
Dream gold nuggets can be obtained from Lloid on a Slumber Island in sets of 10.
