The red watermelon rug is an item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. As a rug item, it can be placed inside the houses of villagers, the player, Photopia on Harv's Island, a vacation home in Happy Home Paradise, or in the Room Sketch app.

The red watermelon rug can be obtained from Saharah's Co-Op on Harv's Island for  1,800 Bells. Once the item is touched by the player, they can then purchase this item from their catalog for  1,500 Bells.

No villagers have this item in their home.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Cheri, Lyman, Nibbles, Patty, and Tammi. The item can also be unlocked when tasked by Lottie to design the café.
