The watermelon umbrella is an umbrella item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The watermelon umbrella acts like a tool, allowing the player to hold on to the item. Villagers will also carry this item during periods of rain. Interacting with the umbrella causes the player to spin it around.
The watermelon umbrella can be obtained from the upgraded Nook's Cranny for 1,550 Bells.
This item is used by 
Nate, 
Nibbles, 
Rex, 
Walker, and 
Wendy as their default umbrella during periods of rain. 
Tad has this item as their default umbrella, but will refrain from using the umbrella due to their status as a frog villager.
In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for 
Lyman and Nibbles.
