Greetings[edit]

  • "Yo! <player>! Am I having déjà vu, <catchphrase>? Didn't we just talk?"
  • "Heya, <player>! Whatcha want, <catchphrase>?"
  • "Heya, <player>! You training today, <catchphrase>? Don't slack just 'cause it's sunny!"
  • "<player>, I don't think you even have a question. I think you just like talking to me! Is it my animal magnetism? What can I do for you, <catchphrase>?"

Conversations[edit]

Advice[edit]

  • "The other day I was doing this new hit-a-rock-with-a-shovel workout. I hit a rock, and money flew out! Seriously! I was so surprised, <catchphrase>! And the faster I hit it, the more money came out! That's the secret. Hit it as many times as you can as quickly as you can to get the most cash out of it. If you ever find a rock that spews money, remember that! Oh! Another thing about money... If you pick up a lot of it, try to stack it all together in your pockets. Just tap and hold a money icon, and drag it to another money icon to consolidate things a bit. Heh heh! It's so convenient! Give it a try, <catchphrase>!"

Buying items[edit]

  • "My secret dream is to own my own <item>... And...you've...got...EXACTLY THE KIND I'M LOOKING FOR!! So you pretty much have to sell me my dream. Right, <player>?"
    • (Player asks "How much?") "Hmm. I'm thinking...<number> Bells?"
      • (Player says yes) "Sweet, sweet, sweeeet! You really are generous, <player>! It's a deal for <number> Bells!"
        • (Player hands over item) "I knew you wouldn't let me down. You're all right, <player>!"
    • (Player says no) "Gaaah! Well, if that's how you feel about it, I think we're done here, <catchphrase>.

Ordinances[edit]

Keep <town name> Beautiful[edit]

  • "Thanks to our brilliant mayor's ordinance, it's a lot easier and more pleasant to jog in this town. Weeds and garbage, the enemies of runners, are gone! It's a big help! <catchphrase>!"

Clothing styles[edit]

  • "Tadaaaa! Check out these spiffy <clothing style> duds, bro/ladybro! But what does "<clothing style>" really mean? I'm starting to wonder if I have any fashion sense..."

Weather[edit]

  • "It's go time for me today! I'm always at full speed, no matter what the weather is like!"

Other[edit]

  • "So let's see... If <player> were a soccer player, what position would (s)he play?"
    • (Player answers "Goalie!") "The goalie?! So you don't wanna get in trouble when you use your hands to control the ball. I think that means you're the type of person who wants to be in a unique position, <catchphrase>!"
  • (If villager is from a friend's town) "You should let me play you some of my jogging battle music. It gets me so fired up!"
    • (After foreign town tune plays) "This song is the town tune of <foreign town>, where I used to live! It's actually pretty famous!"
  • "Man, I need a jogging buddy! I need someone who can take off for a run at the drop of a hat! Someone I can just be myself with! Like <villager> and <villager>! That's exactly what I need! Ha ha! I can't imagine the two of them jogging together, though!"
  • "Recently I've been thinking about the best way to talk to <female villager>. We'll say hi to each other now and then, but I can never say anything to get the conversation going. Hmm... Maybe I'll ask her to try <sport> with me!"
  • "Hey, <player>! Check me out! ...No, I'm not talking about my clothes! I wanted you to appreciate my rippling muscles! I think of clothes as the icing on the scrumptious cake that is my jaw-dropping physique! Haha!"
  • "<player>! Big favor for you! The other day I set a world record for the 100-meter dash. But no one was there to see it! So if you could go ahead and spread the news, that would be great! Thanks, bud! <catchphrase>!"
  • "What? You want me for some new sports league too? Man, I'm totally in demand! The other day this guy comes by wanting me to sign up for his new <sport> venture. I was like, 'Sorry, bro! I'm totally booked up right now!' I gotta tell ya, <player>, it felt kinda bad to break his heart like that..."
