Animal Crossing: New Leaf

In Animal Crossing (GCN), the music at midnight is very rhythmic. An eerie, vibrating synthesizer plays over top a drum-set and woodblock, with a chime-like sound playing intermittently. The key of this piece is F-Major, modulating on a seventh chord in the woodblock.

In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, the piece is somewhat subdued, with a synthesizer and accordion alternating between C-Major and C-Minor, with percussion and snapping underneath.

The midnight (0 or sometimes 24 in 24 hour notation) song in Animal Crossing: New Leaf has a creeping theme to it with a piano, accordion, and electronic drum kit. It has a very lazy, downtempo beat with snapping metronome pulses.
