The following is a list of locations in the Animal Crossing series.

In Animal Crossing[edit]

Name Informations
Train Station This is location where the player goes to another player's town.
Tom Nook's Store The general store of the town. It is owned by Tom Nook PG.png Tom Nook.
Dump Any items left here will be taken away at 6 AM on Mondays and Thursdays. Villagers will often leave items here, usually two a day.
Post Office Letters can be sent from here. Saving letters, paying off the mortgage and entering e-Reader codes can also be done here.
Museum Paintings, fossils, bugs and fish can be donated and shown here.
Wishing Well This is where all of the town events take place.
Police Station Here, the player can talk to Copper PG.png Copper to find out about events and Special Visitors and can see Booker PG.png Booker about the items in the lost and found.
Dock Kapp'n PG.png Kapp'n can take the player to the Animal Island PG Icon.png Animal Island from here.
Able Sisters A tailor shop where players can go to make designs for their clothes.

In Wild World[edit]

Name Informations
Town Hall This is where players can send letters, change the Town Tune, dump items, and pay off their mortgage.
Museum The place where the players can donate their fossils, paintings, fish, and bugs collected.

In the city[edit]

Name Informations
Crazy Redd's A black market where rare, and sometimes counterfeited, items can be bought for a high price.
Marquee A theatre where mostly Dr. Shrunk CF.png Dr. Shrunk and rarely Frillard CF.jpg Frillard can perform. Emotions can be obtained from here. Shows cost  800 Bells.
Happy Room Academy The headquarters in the city contains a replica of the room that Lyle CF.png Lyle thinks best fits the theme for that week.
GracieGrace A shop that sells furniture, clothes, accessories and headgear. The items sold can only be bought from here and are extremely high priced. Gracie owns the shop, but is rarely there. Labelle CF.png Labelle runs the shop when Gracie is not there.
Auction House Players can put their items up for auction here to be bought from their friends. It is run by Lloid CF.png Lloid.
Shampoodle A hair salon where players can change their hairstyle and color. Players can also receive a Mii mask from here.
Fortune Shop Players can get a charm or a fortune here. It is run by Katrina CF.png Katrina.
Resetti Surveillance Center Resetti CF.png Mr. Resetti and Don CF.png Don Resetti's headquarters.

In New Leaf[edit]

In the town[edit]

Name Informations
Re-Tail A shop run by Reese NL.png Reese and Cyrus NL.png Cyrus where the player can sell items, customize furniture, and recycle items into new creations.
Town Hall This is the mayor's office and players can begin Public works projects here.
Train Station Allows the player to visit other towns through the Nintendo Network Logo.png Nintendo Network.
Town Tree Most events take place here. The tree will grow over time, eventually allowing the player to view their town's history.
Auction House Players can put their items up for auction here to be bought from their friends. It is run by Lloid NL.png Lloid.
Dock For  1,000 Bells, Kapp'n NL.png Kapp'n will offer a boat ride to Redhibiscusacnl.png Tortimer Island.

Public works projects[edit]

Name Informations
Police Station Contains a Lost and Found; the police also gives hints on any special character appearances. Depending on the style the player chooses for their town, either Copper NL.png Copper or Booker NL.png Booker run it.
Reset Surveillance Center The surveillance center is built as a public works project, which is designed as a manhole cover the player may enter after rainy days. Resetti NL.png Resetti or Don NLWa.png Don Resetti may be inside, and will eventually give their pictures after enough visits.
The Roost This is a coffee shop that can be built through a public works project. Brewster NL.png Brewster makes his return in the Roost, who the player can now work part-time for and take coffee to-go outside of the Roost.
Campground A campground can be constructed as a public works project. Depending on the season, Tents and Igloos will periodically appear with animal visitors. Players can play games with them and occasionally encourage or discourage them to move into their town.

On Main Street[edit]

Timmy and Tommy's Store Similar to Tom Nook NL.png Tom Nook's store from previous games. Timmy and Tommy NL 2.png Timmy and Tommy now run it, and take turns running the shop. When it is fully upgraded, one will work on each floor.
Able Sisters The Able Sisters offer clothing as in past games in addition to now offering the ability to share and obtain created patterns through QR codes. Labelle NL.png Labelle has rejoined her sisters and now runs the shop with them.
Nook's Homes Players can alter the appearance of their home and buy a variety of designs and decorative objects from Tom Nook NL.png Tom Nook.
Museum Blathers NL.png Blathers continues to run the town's museum, which now offers a wider range of fossils and fish to exhibit, and a second floor featuring an exhibition room and a museum shop run by Celeste NL.png Celeste.
Kicks A shop that sells shoes and socks, run by Kicks NL.png Kicks.
Garden Shop A shop that sells flower seeds and tree saplings, run by Leif NL.png Leif. The shop later merges with Timmy & Tommy NL.png Timmy and Tommy's store after enough upgrades.
Shampoodle Located upstairs to the Able Sisters, offering hair and eye color styling. Like previous games, the store is run by Harriet NL.png Harriet.
Club LOL A club run by Shrunk NL.png Dr. Shrunk. K.K. Slider NL.png K.K. Slider works daily as a DJ, while still holding traditional performances on Saturday nights.
Photo Booth A booth that allows the player to take a picture for their I.D. card.
Dream Suite Run by Luna NL.png Luna, allowing players to visit other towns by inputting that town's dream address or by saying "Surprise me!". The visit is set in a dream world, so no alterations can be made to that town.
Happy Home Showcase A showcase that stores houses of other players who have exchanged data via StreetPass. The homes may be viewed, and furniture from the houses can be ordered for purchase.
Fortune Shop After receiving 20 fortunes from Katrina NL.png Katrina during her visits in a tent, she will open a permanent Fortune Shop.
Post office The postal service returns as an independent building on Main Street.

In New Horizons[edit]

Timmy and Tommy's store Similar to Tom Nook NH Character Icon.png Tom Nook's store from previous games. Nooklings NH Icon.png Timmy and Tommy now run it.
Able Sisters The Able Sisters offer clothing as in past games in addition to now offering the ability to share and obtain created patterns through QR codes.
Campsite In New Horizons the Campsite can be crafted and placed anywhere on the island. A villager can occupy the Campsite on random days, and if space is available, they can be invited to move in.
Resident Services Resident Services is a location in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, serving as the hub where the town's civic duties are conducted. The Bulletin Board and the town's Plaza are located outside. It replaces the Town Hall from prior games. It starts out as a tent, but later upgrades into an actual building.
The Airport The Airport is a location in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, serving as the way of transport. The player can travel to Harv's Island, another player's island, or go on a Mystery Island Tour. It is run by the dodos Orville NH Character Icon.png Orville and Wilbur NH Character Icon.png Wilbur.
Harv's Island The player is able to capture photos. In 2.0, the player can unlock shops on Island such as Katrina NH Character Icon.png Katrina's Shop, Redd NH Character Icon.png Redd's Shop and Leif NH Character Icon.png Leif's Shop.
Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler Jolly Redd's Treasure Trawler is location that the player can buy paintings from Redd NH Character Icon.png Redd.
Pier For  1,000 Nook Miles, Kapp'n NH Character Icon.png Kapp'n will offer a boat ride to Island.
