The Secure Digital, often shortened to SD Card, is an item used in the Wii, Nintendo DSi, and Nintendo 3DS. For the Wii, it is used to save pictures taken on in-game cameras (such as Animal Crossing: City Folk's screenshot function) and Wii Shop Channel games. For the DSi and 3DS, it is used to save either the DSiWare Applications, or for photos taken on the DSi's internal and external cameras. Finally, it is used to store game updates, such as the Welcome amiibo update in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
