Talk:Animal Crossing: New Horizons/Update history/2.0

Regarding the new villagers[edit]
There is a chance that the 16 new Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers are exclusive to Happy Home Paradise. I watched the direct a few times, and I only saw some of them in the HHP DLC half. I doubt that is the case, but we also don't know if they are amiibo exclusive, so anything is on the table. - Resident Rep. of Flagland, Flag Lover 19:18, October 18, 2021 (EDT)
- That's not correct. If it was exclusive to Happy Home Paradise, the amiibo cards wouldn't work unless the DLC is downloaded, which defeats the purpose of having an amiibo card for the game to begin with. Plus, the Japanese announcement for this update explicitly list an image with Frett and Sasha under the free 2.0 update section. -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 19:51, October 18, 2021 (EDT)
Returning villagers' personalities[edit]
I noticed a pattern while looking at Series 5 of Animal Crossing amiibo cards:
- #425 Sherb (lazy)
- #426 Megan (normal)
- #427 Dom (jock)
- #428 Audie (peppy)
- #429 Cyd (cranky)
- #430 Judy (snooty)
- #431 Raymond (smug)
- #432 Reneigh (big sister)
- #433 Sasha (lazy)
- #434 Ione (normal)
- #435 Tiansheng (jock)
- #436 Shino (peppy)
- #437 Marlo (cranky)
- #438 Petri (snooty)
- #439 Cephalobot (smug)
- #440 Quinn (big sister)
- #441 Chabwick
- #442 Zoe
- #443 Ace
- #444 Rio
- #445 Frett
- #446 Azalea
- #447 Roswell
- #448 Faith
I'm 100% sure Roswell and Faith are now smug and big sister respectively, while the others keep the personalities they originally had. --Garf 16:26, October 28, 2021 (EDT)
- We appreciate the enthusiasm, and have received a lot of information and speculation regarding the ordering of the amiibo cards and what that must mean for a villager's gender or personality, however we have decided to wait until this information is officially confirmed prior to updating our pages.
