Talk:Animal Crossing Plaza

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

Collecting images prior to retirement?[edit]

Per the original announcement for the plaza, it will only be available until the 'end of 2014'. Should we attempt to compile more information/images from the plaza prior to that time? For example, we might want to get screenshots of all animals/villagers in the plaza, or make some record of the dialog displayed. We might also want to get images of all the AC Miiverse stamps. What are everyone's thoughts on this? --sunmarsh (talk) 14:42, August 27, 2014 (EDT)

Portuguese and Russian names[edit]

The names in other languages section of this page lists Portuguese and Russian names of "Praça Animal Crossing" and "Площадь Animal Crossing", respectively. They were added in this edit in 2018. But, I've looked at the game's files and there is no sign of Portuguese or Russian localizations, just English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Japanese.

This is from the game's meta.xml file which tells the Wii U what the game's title is for each region, among other things:

<longname_ja type="string" length="512">どうぶつの森 こもれび広場</longname_ja>
<longname_en type="string" length="512">Animal Crossing Plaza</longname_en>
<longname_fr type="string" length="512">Place Animal Crossing</longname_fr>
<longname_de type="string" length="512">Animal Crossing-Lobby</longname_de>
<longname_it type="string" length="512">Piazza Animal Crossing</longname_it>
<longname_es type="string" length="512">Plaza Animal Crossing</longname_es>
<longname_zhs type="string" length="512"></longname_zhs>

There are no Portuguese or Russian titles, so I'm not sure where the ones on this page came from. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 01:21, December 10, 2022 (EST)

Update: I found that the Nintendo of Europe website in Portuguese and Russian has pages for this app with the names in question, despite the app not supporting these languages. I've added these pages as references on this article. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 16:26, December 11, 2022 (EST)
