Talk:Bush
Some images to be used for the bushes, since there aren't any yet.[edit]
Here are some links with images that could be used in this page. They show the growth states and colors of the bushes.
This shows only half of the real image. Image is near the end of the page.
This shows the entirety of every image. Image is near the end of the page.
This also shows the entirety of each bush, but is low-resolution and in Japanese. --Jirachi (talk) 10:30, April 15, 2020 (EDT)
Split first-generation bushes into their own article[edit]

Despite sharing a name with the New Leaf/New Horizons bushes, the bushes from the first-generation Animal Crossing games are completely different things. I think our coverage the first-generation bushes would be better off on their own article—Bush (first generation)—while this article would remain for the New Leaf/New Horizons bushes. The first-generation article would be pretty short since there isn't much to cover, but since the bushes do have an actual gameplay purpose, I think they're still worth covering. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 21:36, January 3, 2025 (EST)
Support I'd agree they're very different, and their ability to hide crickets makes them a possible bug location. Drago (talk)

Neutral I'm interested to know what the Japanese name is compared from Animal Crossing to New Leaf, to know if they are meant to hold the same "identity" despite the appearance alteration.- But also, I don't think it's such a huge deal to have all of the instances listed out from each game, and keep the Animal Crossing mention. I changed the page's formatting a little bit, and now each game is its own section on the page, and since the Animal Crossing bush doesn't really have that much going on with it mechanics-wise, its section doesn't take up that much space on this page, and I feel like it wouldn't really be enough content to justify its own page. - As far as I know, they are only named in the first-generation games in the code (e.g.
bush_pal.c), so there wouldn't be a Japanese name. Concerning the length of the split page, I think there is definitely a bit more that could be added to the prose for the gen 1 bushes, and a bug table could be placed there like how we do with fish on the body of water articles. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 22:10, January 12, 2025 (EST)

Support I always called the first generation bushes 'clover patches' or 'overgrowth'. I never even considered to call them bushes. Anyway, they are decidedly not the same sort of bush from the later games. I think the infocard is a bit confusing indicating bushes are in DnM, DnM+, AC, DnMe+, and iQue when they are such a different style of bush. --LeoGrun (talk) 16:16, March 19, 2025 (EDT)
