Talk:List of references

Cockroaches[edit]

The Cockroach Ghosts were in Animal Forest on the N64 (before pikmin) I don't know if that counts as a cameo. --Dvorakelt 18:56, 8 February 2012 (EST)

Good point, looks like it's more of a coincidental similarity. I'd say to remove it from the list if no one else brings up any objections. ~SuperHamster Talk 00:31, 9 February 2012 (EST)

Unlikely reference[edit]

Looking at photos of Segway® Circuit I don't think that there are any similarities between the moles in the game and Mr Resetti -Winn (talk) 20:41, March 12, 2020 (EDT)

Rename + possible split[edit]

Closing discussion in favor of split into List of references in the Animal Crossing series and List of Animal Crossing references in other media, and the move of this page to List of references, making it a disambiguation page. Consensus was reached that "cameos" was not a descriptive enough title and enough content existed on this page to split it into two pages ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 12:06, September 29, 2020 (EDT)

Shouldn't this page be renamed to "References"? Cameo implies there's something from another franchise actually appearing in the game, which is not always the case. Additionally, I feel like there's enough content to split this into List of references to the Animal Crossing series and List of references in the Animal Crossing series, leaving this as a disambiguation page for the two. ~ AlexBot2004 (Talk) 18:47, September 24, 2020 (EDT)

Support Support Definitely enough content here for a split, and I agree that 'Cameos' is not a descriptive nor accurate title. Splatoonwiki uses 'References to Splatoon in other media' which I like, but we do have a habit of starting our list pages with 'List of...'.
