Talk:Masa

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

Some pages on Nookipedia say Masa is a cranky villager, whilst others say he is a jock.Which personality is he? - unsigned comment from ZCJigglypuff (talkcontribs)

That's a very good question! I'm personally not certain how the islander villagers personalities were determined. Quick searches reveal that people generally believe the islanders have distinct personalities from the villagers. Unfortunately, we never received any sort of official translation or explanation to confirm whether or not this is the case. The only way to verify this would be to look in the game's code and see if the islanders are assigned the same personality values as the rest of the villagers. One could also collect dialog from the islanders to see if some of them share dialog. If they do, this would be evidence that there are indeed islander personalities, but we still wouldn't have official names for them. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 03:55, August 22, 2015 (EDT)

Masa's Personality[edit]

Okay, so I've noticed a trend with the way that Doubutsu no Mori e+ organizes the order of its cards. Specifically the order goes Lazy, Normal, Jock, Peppy, Cranky, and Snooty, with the order being reset every six cards. If this is true, that would mean that Masa is actually a jock. It would also mean that Harry was originally a jock, Curlos was originally cranky (Which would make sense, since he has the smug personality in New Leaf, which is descended from the Cranky islanders' behaviors), Patricia is normal, Frank was always cranky, Pironkon is lazy, Lulu is snooty, Violet was originally peppy, and Julia was always snooty. Everything else, such as Raddle's personality, fits perfectly. I may need to do some further research on this, but I feel that this should at least be considered.
