Resource Discrepencies

This Wiki lists the theme of the Modern Wood Lamp as Rustic, but other resources, such as Thonky, lists the Modern Wood Lamp as Harmonious.

• Which is correct?
• How could this discrepancy occur?

Interesting. Prima Guides, the GameFAQs item list, and the other GameFAQs items list despite its different names, doesn't list "harmonious" ("oriental" in the latter list). The Thonky guide also places the Mush series, Green series, Alpine series, Blue series, Strawberry clothing, as Harmonious; on the flip side, Exotic series, Lucky Cats, Chinese Zodiac furniture, Paper Lantern, and Black Katana are listed as Rustic. This makes me wonder if Thonky actually mixed up between Rustic and Harmonious since all the Rustic are listed as Harmonious while all the Harmonious are listed as Rustic. So, I think the Thonky guide is the incorrect one here. ™ 15:47, April 16, 2015 (EDT)

To answer your questions... 1) The wiki is correct. 2) I can't speak for how Thonky sourced their information, but they either referenced an erroneous source or accidentally flipped some/all of their Rustic/Harmonious furniture as noted by Mario. 3) Most information is a sort of hand-me-down from one source to another. Many English-based sources reference the Prima guide, as it is the only (to my knowledge) English guide released for ACNL. The most accurate information comes from translations of Japanese guides which are not only more accurate, but also much more plentiful. Guide writer Liquefy on GameFAQs makes exclusive use of multiple Japanese guides for his information and I highly recommend anything written by him. (talk) 19:47, April 19, 2015 (EDT)
