Merge with the preexisting Mushroom Series page?[edit]

No consensus for the merge, but a new discussion has been started at Talk:Mushroom Series. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 11:14, April 22, 2021 (EDT)

It's weird that there is a separated page for this page on the New Horizons items instead of being together with the Mushroom Series. Considering the items in the Mushroom Series are literally called "Mush <item>" I don't see a reason for this page to be on its own instead of being with the current Mushroom Series set. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 05:46, February 3, 2021 (EST)

Oppose Oppose It's a completely different set of items to the Mushroom Series. I agree it's confusing, though, and we should probably add something to the pages, such as Template:Wrongpage, to clear up the confusion. Drago (talk) Drago PC Villager Icon.png 10:48, February 3, 2021 (EST)
Comment Comment - I don't know what our best course of action is here. New Horizons definitely made a clean break with the item series from previous games, with many of the series no longer returning or being completely restyled. I think it just depends on whether we want to interpret this Mush Series as NH's version of the Mushroom Series (like Turkey Day is the NH version of the Harvest Festival). I'd also like to note that the NH Spooky items are listed on the same page as all previous Spooky Series items, even though they too are completely different in design. So whatever decision we make here should apply there as well. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 16:52, February 3, 2021 (EST)
Agreed. It seems like most returning furniture sets in New Horizons do not have essentials like a bed or a couch nowadays. The Mush Series is one of these examples, yet it retains the Mush Lamps that were in the previous games. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 18:13, February 3, 2021 (EST)
Comment Comment - For reference, the Apple Set from NH currently redirects to the Juicy-Apple Set from previous games so if similarity between names is the main decisive factor then consistency would mean merging the two pages. However, the two apple sets are identical whereas the two mushroom series less so like Drago pointed out. Melicent (talk) 09:02, March 9, 2021 (EST)
Neutral Neutral cause I'm not certain about furniture. Mushroom Series furniture is different like in Mush Series. vmario97 (talk) 13:16, March 23, 2021 (EDT)
Comment Comment Okay, big update. Apparently, the series is called the Mush series in New Leaf according to datamined information. I noticed this while going through datamined information. So I think instead of a merger to the Mushroom Series from here, the Mushroom Series merges with Mush Series. I'm going to post a separate discussion there, so I ask someone else to close this discussion since it's apparent that this will not suffice. -- PanchamBro (talkcontributions) 05:33, April 22, 2021 (EDT)
