Sable's star sign is Libra according to her Doubutsu no Mori+ e-reader card, however later games list it as Scorpio. How should this be handled as the sign table does not allow for more than one sign to be listed? - unsigned comment from Coatlmon (talk • contribs)

Probably best to list it as Scorpio, since that's the most recent one, and the star sign that appears in the English language games. Red (talk) 12:10, February 27, 2016 (EST)

I've modified Template:Infobox Special to allow for a secondary star sign and additional notes to explain them. I wasn't quite sure which games each star sign applies to so I only included the games that were directly associated with the e-cards/amiibo cards (also just a note I did some research and Series 1 e-card A-008 Sable Able notes her sign as Libra). Is there any other source of information that we can get birthday info from for the other games in the series? (talk) 12:07, March 2, 2016 (EST)

Thanks so much for updating the template! So far as I know, the e-cards are the only source for the star signs in the gamecube games. I have a complete set of both the original Doubutsu no Mori+ and E+ Japanese cards, as well as a few of the promotional cards. On the back of each card, they list the villager's gender, star sign, starting outfit and catchphrase (for the npcs only the star sign and gender are listed). So far as I know, their birthdays are not mentioned anywhere else, though they do tend to match the original star signs when they're added in later games in nearly all cases. There are a few exceptions-O'hare, for instance, had his sign listed as Virgo on his e-card, while his birthday, 7/24, would fall under Leo. I'm assuming they changed it since he has a tropical appearance and they will sometimes also go by personality (a lot of snobby and cranky villagers have Scorpio listed as their sign). This is one of the main reasons why I would love to see Nintendo just bring back all the villagers, but oh well.-Coatlmon 12:27 March 3, 2016 (EDT)

You're welcome! It was an easy fix. Thanks for bringing this up- I had no idea that some NPCs had more than one star sign. And thanks for the info on the e-cards! I don't have any myself but have always admired them. (talk) 09:37, March 3, 2016 (EST)
