Talk:Time travel

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

I think this page is better off in guidespace. What do you guys think? Mario Signature.png 20:16, July 20, 2015 (EDT)

Yeah, as its written it seems like it would fit in a bit better there. Sunmarshsignature.png (talk) 20:40, July 20, 2015 (EDT)
All right, I moved it. Mario Signature.png 21:17, July 20, 2015 (EDT)

Mainspace[edit]

Not sure exactly why this page was moved to the guidespace. Anyways, I feel like it should be moved back for the simple reason that time traveling is a pretty notable exploit within Animal Crossing. To make it seem less like a guide, we could simply rename the "How to time travel" section to "Methods of time traveling" or something similar. Senor Mexicano (talk) 04:10, March 31, 2020 (EDT)

Needs some adjustments to make it a bit less guide-y and more article-y, but otherwise, agreed - should be an article. ~SuperHamster Talk 23:34, March 31, 2020 (EDT)
I would take it one step further, I think that regardless of the quality of the page, time traveling itself should be a mainspace page. Time traveling is a valid game mechanic that is recognized by the game. If the article seems too guide-y, that's a problem with the article quality, and the article could be tagged with something like a cleanup template, but the topic of time travel is inherently something belonging in mainspace. This page being removed from mainspace and the time travel page redirecting to the guide namespace implies that time travel is nothing more than a player guide, and not an actual mechanic with effects and consequences.
