Template talk:AFe+

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

Page names[edit]

Shouldn't this, AF+, AF, and AM link to their actual pages? Zharkaer 15:15, 7 August 2012 (EDT)

Not quite sure what you mean...do you mean linking to the template page instead of the article? Right now they link to their matching articles. ~SuperHamster Talk 15:57, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
What I mean is, the templates link to redirects, and not the actual pages. Zharkaer 16:04, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
Ah, gotcha. If there's a compelling reason to change, sure, but it doesn't really matter, either way works. Only reason I could think of as to why we would want to get rid of the redirects would be to avoid putting an extra load on the servers, but as far as I'm aware, the extra load from redirects is so minor it can just be considered non-existent, and if anything, more load would be put on the server as a result of changing a widely-used template (though still a minor load, just being technical). If you want to change it go ahead, but eh, "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" ;P ~SuperHamster Talk 16:34, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
The reason why I wanted to change them is because it seems so weird and un-wiki like to use titles that weren't official. If you really don't mind me changing them, I guess I'll go ahead. Zharkaer 16:48, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
Hrm, it seems I can't edit Template:AM. Sorry to ask, but could you remove the "|Animal Crossing: The Movie" part? Zharkaer 16:58, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
Sounds good, and done :) ~SuperHamster Talk 17:09, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
Thanks again, and sorry if this causes any trouble. Zharkaer 17:10, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
Ah, I didn't realize you wanted to change the names of the games, too. I think we do that simply because Nookipedia is written in English, so we'd use the English translation, but since the games have been released only in Japan, I agree that it makes sense to use their Japanese wording. No problem at all. ~SuperHamster Talk 17:32, 7 August 2012 (EDT)
